Experimental Platform

The KG Series ("KeGong"/"Engineering Science") acid gas removal unit is an integrated experimental analysis platform independently designed and manufactured by NENGJING, for studying the absorption and desorption of acidic components (e.g., CO₂, H₂S, organic sulfur) in complex gas mixtures. Employing an absorption process, the unit integrates core functional modules including pre-treatment, metering and detection, absorption, and desorption. Available in three models—KG-50, KG-100, and KG-300—it offers both atmospheric and pressurized configurations to suit various pressure and throughput requirements. All equipment, piping, and controls are skid-mounted for rapid deployment and commissioning across different sites. The system is equipped with an electric heating reboiler and high-precision mass flow meters, ensuring precisely controllable regeneration conditions and meeting both industrial and academic experimental standards. The KG platform primarily serves the development and validation of novel separation solvents and related process packages, addressing unconventional acid gas separation challenges such as selective desulfurization of high carbon-to-sulfur ratio gases, purification of natural gas with high organic sulfur content, and low-energy decarbonization of blast furnace gas. It is suitable for pilot- and laboratory-scale scientific research and industrial demonstration projects, providing crucial support for the R&D of gas purification technologies.
